These Rules were LITERALLY given to us by Michael Silva (one of the brothers that invented this) over a Zoom Call on 7.10.2021 release of this. Verbatim listed below.
RULES of the GAME:
- Set the chairs. They should be 40 feet apart (suggested and based on skill). For you PRO’s, take it out a bit more even to keep it fun and challenging.
- Teammates play on the same side always due to the course of play. Play 1 on 1 up to an intense 4 on 4. You can weight or give spacing out the sides as you see fit. 1 on left, 3 on right for example. Maintaining at least 1 on each side (a must) for 2 or more sized teams.
POINT SCORING:
Throw into the basket for a Touchdown 6 points
Throw and hit any part of the chair. This includes the uprights. Results in 3 points (Completion).
DEFENSE: If the defending team catches the ball after hitting the chair or uprights, (must hit the chair first – and cannot be a caused deflection by the defense) they can then take a knee for 3 points. Or risk it by advancing the ball back. If they return the ball, the Defense can come to play and where they 2 hand touch are downed, at which time they get to throw the ball towards the chair for points. 1 Attempt only.
If playing 2 on 2, or 3 on 3, or 4 on 4 the Offense and Defense can come to play. Then Blocking or lateral pitches are also put into play. This is where physicality is put into motion. Careful you old war dogs out there.
THEN AFTER SCORING A TOUCHDOWN:
You then can Kick the ball from the T. And if you get through the uprights it is 1 point. On the other end, If it lands in the bucket its called a “FITZ”, and it becomes an instant WIN for the kicking team. Sorry, everyone. This is officially GAME OVER.
Additionally, If the KICK is wide right or wide left; then it becomes in play. The Defense can catch and return. (Same rules for Interception and Return above).
WINNING TEAM: Must score 54 points to win. Once a team hits 54 points, they have to win by 2 points. Once hitting winning amount, the other team (if within 7 points) gets a Hail Mary attempt.
HAIL MARY:
If you are under by more than 8 points, . You can step back the manner of steps back equal to how many points you are finding your team behind. If you make it into the bucket, you instantly win and are to be carried off in screams as if in the Movie “RUDY”.

Furthermore, we have been enjoying their great sense of humors and their passion for getting all of us to play and enjoy this awesome twist on Football. HOW IT ALL BEGAN OVER 31 YEARS AGO
The Silva Brothers Michael and Frank Silva are just 3 years apart. These two are the creators of QB54. A unique and incredible game that is bound to become a household stable for entertainment and sport. They would go out to play after Thanksgiving Dinner, and set up 2 garbage cans at a distance from each other. Then begin to throw a ball into the can to make a point. The first one who scored 54 points would then be names the winner. How they came up with the number 54 came out of the clear blue sky really, and not from any jersey (as often assumed). There were times when the neighbors would come over and play just for the fun of it and ended up being there for several hours. Sometimes 3 or more. This evolved to the Game and Set up you see now.
